I wonder how Thunder Dolphin is like. Never met anyone who's ridden.

I've read that it's an okay coaster, but kind of a let-down compared to the first impression it gives.

TPR hated it. Watch there POV. You hear Robb Alvey clearly saying 'what is this crap' as they are flying over the top of one of the buildings. From the few reviews I have read of the ride, its no MF wink.gif

Seems to me like TNTK's park is lacking a serious hypercoaster. wink.gif

Never been on it, so I couldn't tell you for sure. I just think a 250+ foot coaster that goes over the tops of buildings and through a ferris wheel in downtown Tokyo is pretty cool.

I'll consider hitting it when I eventually make it to Japan. Hopefully get in one other park besides Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea.

You know, someday.

I saw that video also SD, and my impression of Robb's comment was that he was referring to the section of "trick track" they were traversing at that moment he said that, rather than an indictment of the entire ride. I may be wrong about that though. I do agree that it's probably no MF. biggrin.gif

I don't think it's supposed to be an MF. I think it's more about soaring through and around buildings than anything else.

I'd like to get on it sometime this year. I was thinking of shooting up to Tokyo last month, but I got a little side tracked. Hopefully sometime soon...

If it's big and fast and lacks any real airtime, it ended up being an MF anyway. wink.gif

Totally jealous, but hope you can get to it. My plans for mainland Asia look like 2011, at the earliest. (But got Australia this fall!)
